About Etherisis
Etherisis is a quant-grade analytics and signal shop for serious, self-directed traders. It exists because I couldn't find the tools I wanted, so I built them.
I'm Ryan Baker. I spent about twenty years in engineering and technical operations — a career built on a single discipline: if you can't measure it, you can't trust it, and if you can't trust it, you don't ship it. Systems that work most of the time but fail catastrophically the rest aren't systems; they're liabilities. That standard doesn't relax when the domain changes.
When I moved into trading full-time, I brought it with me. I earned an MS in Finance with a concentration in investments, but the degree only confirmed what the engineering years had already taught me: most of what passes for "edge" is a feeling wearing a chart. I wanted proof. So I built the infrastructure to get it — order-flow engines, regime and volatility models, correlation analytics, a live signal stack, and the validation to know whether any of it actually holds up against real market history.
I trade index futures and options every day — the same ES, NQ, RTY, and rates markets the analytics cover. Everything on this site is tooling I run for my own account first. I don't publish signals I wouldn't take or research I don't use. The philosophy underneath it is unglamorous and hard-won: trade with a measured edge, size so that being wrong doesn't end you, and let consistency compound.
Etherisis is what happens when an engineer's rigor meets a trader's markets. If that's the kind of edge you've been looking for — and you already know how to trade — you're in the right place.
